This is THE big event in Fairbanks!! The YQ is a 1,000 mile race from Fairbanks to Whitehorse, Yukon (in Canada). It takes about 10 days to complete, and this year 24 mushers are competing. Joe and I stood on the frozen Chena River in downtown Fairbanks with a cast of thousands to watch the start of the race--
It was truly a sight to see!
